Member of the Management

The Head of HR is responsible for the lead of the HR Department in Bielefeld for the following areas; Talent Management/Acquisition, Succession Planning and Performance Management aligned with the Global HR strategy to ensure best practice. He has to manage all employees’ related issues (internally and externally) and anticipates and supports the business needs. He is responsible for 270 employees and reports directly to the CEO Bielefeld.


Key responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic and operational business partner that aligns HR strategy with business strategy as a Member of the Management Team
  • Develops an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Ensures that the Region have talents with the appropriate skills and experiences to perform their responsibilities to ensure production goals are met in both short and long term perspectives
  • Proactively identifies, initiates and leads projects to drive employee engagement, retention and employer branding
  • Recruits the staff through appropriate channels of recruitment and selection
  • Plans and implements training sessions and courses
  • Develops and diffuses general guidelines for the proper application of labor law
  • Manages relations with trade unions
  • Represents the company in work litigation
  • Head of Human resources in B to B business if possible in a similar industry
  • In depth knowledge of personnel policies and employment legislations for the region
  • Degree in Economics or equivalent education
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Proximity to Bielefeld
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive work style, highly reliable and accountable

  • Team builder and player, acting with transparency and openness
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
