They are looking for an exceptional, global manager to fill the position as soon as possible, who will lead the Application Engineering team for the most profitable Business Unit (Machine Cooling Systems) strategically, future-oriented and with foresight towards further development, value enhancement and growth.

With explicit hands-on mentality, high energy level, drive and proven international experience, you will lead a virtual team of 30 employees in a matrix structure (pro-fessional & disciplinary) worldwide from a distance, innovatively break new ground, generate new business opportunities and you will optimize potential along the entire value chain. Intercultural competence, the ability to move on the international stage and experience in the international sales of a technical product as well as a deep understanding of his/her expertise are just as important components as a high willingness to travel. Due to the international nature of the position, flexibility regarding the place of residence is given, but is ideally located in Germany, the Netherlands or Austria.

  • Global sales management: providing clear MCS leadership in line with 9 multi-dimensional sales regions, focused on growth and expansion of MCS order intake and customer base with responsibility for quotation and inquiry response to support order intake including the development of the existing global MCS AE team and alignment of the team to a clear growth strategy

  • Market growth strategy development: development of new innovative customer solutions, market pricing and incentive strategies; in coordination with the regional EVP’s and the business units and sales departments

  • Sales Core Markets: strengthening of the offered technology portfolio and the order intake in the founding regions of the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Western Europe (retention and penetration)

  • Sales Emerging Markets: development of robust MCS market offerings including solutions for important "emerging" sales regions of NAFTA (North America), China and India to increase order intake

  • Product line management and R&D: with regard to market requirements, competitive challenges and the development of technological solutions including strategic development of market price and incentive strategies in coordination with other MSC business units

  • New Business Development: cooperation with the sales regions in the development of new markets, "way to market" growth strategies and new cus-tomer development activities

  • New OEM development: conversion and penetration into new markets and customers

  • Sales Performance Analysis: execution of the current sales fundamentals within the MCS AE team to support the development of sales intelligence and the implementation of the growth strategy
Your Profile:

  • Strong will to shape, paired with curiosity and a strong hands-on mentality
  • Highly structured with strong strategic orientation and quick perception
  • Dynamic and very energetic, charismatic personality with a winning attitude
  • Outstanding People Manager: experienced, highly motivating manager with a proven track record of successfully leading international, virtual teams in a matrix organization - close leadership from distance is of great importance
  • Strong self-motivation to proactively identify optimization potential and new business opportunities along the entire value chain for continuous growth and value enhancement of the BU
  • Distinctive intercultural competence combined with empathy for and curiosity about other cultures and the ability to move confidently on the international stage
  • Engineering or similar technical studies, economic training desirable
  • Experience in and knowledge of the most important organizational buying and sales fundamentals and processes in her/his area of responsibility
  • Very good market knowledge with constant observation of the competition
  • Fluent in English, German an asset
  • High willingness to travel (>50%)
