About the Job:
  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Develop and implement business plans to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Report to the US-based headquarters, providing market in-sights and strategic advice.
  • Report bi-directionally between US and EU entities and ensure intercompany alignment.
  • Maintain positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities.
  • Oversee the company's business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures. Provide direct management, guidance, and support to operations, accounting, and HR at Moog Europe.
  • Supervise, guide, and delegate European-based employees in their duties, incl. hiring new staff as appropriate.
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated.
  • Assess, manage, and resolve problematic developments and situations.
  • Build and enhance the company's public profile at events, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Advocate for needs of the European entity at an executive level on the US team, nurture positive company culture in alignment with core values and US site.
  • Serve as the ultimate decider on productivity, workflow, and process tools and practices at Moog Europe.
  • Research and provide knowledgeable input on decisions with European tax and legal implications
About the Candidate:
  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field, Master's degree preferred, but not a must.
  • Extensive experience as a Managing Director or in a similar role.
  • High-level experience in a pan-European organization/work environment.
  • Operational experience in a consumer goods company, preferably the Music Instruments industry.
  • Good understanding of the logistical framework in international goods traffic and customs clearance.
  • Change Management skills, ability to work well with people and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong English and German language proficiency, proficient in Microsoft Office, legal work status in Germany.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, able to excel in high-pressure situations.
  • An open-minded motivator, with a good cultural understanding, representing a German perspective in the US and vice versa.
